08-03-09: I've been working pretty hard to integrate cool new features to help make the website feel more alive and connected. After getting a BlackBerry it made me realize that the mobile websites that Twitter, Facebook, Myspace, etc would also be great if utilized in a mini version throughout a website. So, I gave it a try and it's true. In fact, some things I find easier to manage. Now, if you're a Twitter user, you can quickly tweet something anytime you want. Next, feat is to tackle the membership area. I'm really dragging my feet getting this done cause it's going to be tricky and I know it.

07-31-09: I have a little bit more time to spend working on the site today. So, I paved way for a few new features such as the polls, twitter, and chat page. Keep checking around for goodies, you never know what might show up.

07-30-09: Last night I decided to delve into some of the problems I've been experiencing with scodal.com and the current layout. There was no reason to continue upgrading and fixing the site until I knew I had fixed some apparent problems. Due to this I scrapped the old skeleton layout and recycled many great ideas into a great new layout! The problems are gone and things look much more organized and cleaned up. On top of that, there are definitely quite a lot of improvements. Many features have still yet to be implemented, but as is the likely with my projects. They're always a work in progress. I'll at least leave the site working functional enough to visit and surf before my next sleep.

06-30-09: I've been very dedicated to finishing some areas of the website that have needed my attention. I've improved navigation, fixed a few small bugs I hadn't noticed (link improper links in the menu and things), and best of all I've improved the way commenting works. When you comment it no longer refreshes the whole page and makes you lose your spot from whatever you were doing. It can now saves the comment and will display the next time you load the page. I've also added ajax comment pagination and set it to 5 comments per page. It makes every page of content look more like they have little chat discussions at the bottom of them. Some updates I am going to tackle next? Membership area, newsletter, more navigation, more doodle products, and more content for Scottegories. (*edited 08-01-08) Oh and Famous Tweets. I've really slacked on that one. It's probably one of the easiest things I need to finish but yet it's one of things I've taken the longest on. Anyway, back to work for me!

06-25-09: We're making some major modifications to the menu and navigation system to the website. During this time things might be buggy. Bear with us while we improve the site :) During this time of upgrades Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett both died. Kinda ironic but I just finished writing those two articles in tribute to their life so check em out :) Please stay tuned while we update the site some more. If something isn't working, give it some time and then it will all the sudden start working, trust me :)

06-14-09: If things seem a little goofy for a while, that's cause we're working on a new design. Time for a long awaited scodal.com upgrade! Please be patient during this upgrade.

05-20-09: I can't believe it's been about 5 months since last time I updated this box. Well, lots of news today! First, I want to say thank you to Lisette, Cheryl, and Mark for purchasing products in my Doodle Store. Now I can buy a shirt for myself! I really want the Beards shirt. Also, this is important big news! (*edited 08-01-08*) I fixed ALL of the 'add news' pages on the site so it stops giving errors, being slow, and not posting. You should be able to post very simply and quickly again, and with videos! Just paste the YouTube video embed codes. It's that easy! We've also created profile pages for each user. You can see an example on my profile, dice, your own, and others. Alright, so that's it for now. Oh one more thing, I'm @scodal on Twitter.

12-10-08: Just a quick update to say hello to everyone! Also, (*edited 08-01-08*) the search page works now! WYSIWYG editor for adding content to the site. If you don't know what that is, go check it out. You'll understand soon, especially if you didn't see the old editor compared to the new editor. OH, and one last thing. Let me know what you think of what I did to the main page of scodal.com, it has a giant content block made up of images posted with links to content by and from our users! Cool, huh?

12-08-08: Recently added to scodal.com: The nintendo section on the site is new. Many new videos to view. Some new music including an original scodal.com music video. The webcam is fixed and ready to view. Soon to be worked on: The search function and contact page.

11-10-08: It's been a long time coming but we're finally open for new members! Yes, you can sign up for free anytime! You can even tell your friends to sign up. Thanks to the few of you that joined and helped me work out all the bugs while we got things together. We hope to make scodal.com a very enjoyable experience to all over the next few months and years.

11-10-08: We're getting even closer to opening the doors to members on scodal.com! Last night we made huge leaps towards getting the site and all of the necessary code and elements of the site working. For example, last night we added the ability to see how many threads are in every category not only on the forum threads page, but also in the drop-down menus! In order to do this almost 200 files needed revised and reuploaded! Everything has been taken care of and tested. There aren't many areas left that need tended to before we do some major promotions, link dumps, and inevitably get many sign-ups and members! Woohoo! Are you excited!? We are!

11-02-08: Well, we may not be open to the public yet but we're definitely making lots of progress getting the site ready and together for everyone to enjoy. We've finished integrating many features and dressing up many pages to help the website be easy to navigate, easy to communicate, and fun to browse! So far we're not even finished yet and we're addicted to our own site! Soon we'll be allowing requests for beta members to join the site and test it out. Helping us to get ready for our major launch date! Thanks for all your patience!

10-20-08: Hello everyone! We've decided, once again, to change up things here at scodal.com! We've decided to open the site up to the general public so they can add anything they'd like to it. Hopefully we attract a unique crowd of individuals that like to chill, chat, and share their hobbies or funny and interesting things from their travels around the internet. For now, we're still putting things together so you cannot sign up. We'll slowly be adding users as test subjects here and there until we get things smoothed out. Please be patient, we'll be open to the general public very soon!
