This is very interesting to me. Someone on Twitter shared a link to a page that had all these photos with an interesting effect. I have seen this before and I'm sure you have as well.
What I'm realizing is that this effect of moving
the camera back and forth makes it appear as the element is one moment captured in a 3d moment instead of just a 2d. I didn't realize how monumental and amazing the effects were (or in other words, how much I realized I really like this style
of photography) until I looked through all of the motion photos in comparison to the *bottom photo in
2d.. it makes me never want to see a 2d photo again.
Now, this brings me to my dilemma.. how do people do this? I've imagined how I could
do this with my current digital cameras but it doesn't seem feasible at all! All I can figure is that you must have more than
one lens. Does anyone else have more information on this topic? I'd especially just love to know the name of what to call this
style.
So, enough of my babbling.. You're not here to read that, you're hear to see what I'm talking about. Just
take a look:
Woah! Where did
the wiggle go!? Bring back the wiggle! See I told you it's a huge difference...
I'll tell you one thing, uploading the 3d picture vs the 2d picture is a huge speed difference. The 2d picture uploads in a milisecond whereas the multiframed one hangs for a few... yes I'm making the obvious implication that the file size of the wiggle
photo is larger. This doesn't deter me at all from wanting to take photos like this.
